Supposedly a grandson of Claudius II. He became Praetorian Prefect under
Maximian and was named caesar by Maximian under Diocletian's tetrachy
scheme. He retook Britain from rebels and died there ten years later
of natural causes, when he came to help his son Constantine in a campaign.
