Claudius "Gothicus" came to power after plotting the downfall of Gallienus
and buying the loyalty of the army. He wa a great commader and won a
huge victory over the Goths which earned him his nickname. He died of
plague in Pannonia at Sirmium. His coins are plentiful but poor, making it hard to find decent examples to feature here.
